Increasing Efficiency from Concept to Final Product
Columbia Manufacturing is committed to manufacturing quality parts on time, every time. To support continuous improvement with a growing backlog of new parts, we have implemented a New Part Introduction (NPI) process.
CMI Manufacturing Engineers play an active role in the pre-production stage, preparing components and supplies, and verifying that all project documentation is thorough and complete. Ultimately, the goal is focused on optimizing the production process.
A well-defined NPI process increases the likelihood of a robust and successful manufacturing operation from concept to a final product. It also provides the structure for various disciplines within the Company to stay in constant communication to ensure that a part can be manufactured on time and within budget. From there, full production can begin to serve the demands of our customers.
