JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced quality engineer looking to take the next step in their career. This individual needs to high energy and have a passion for process and driving a culture of quality and excellence. The right person will have relevant experience in the aerospace industry in new product introduction, statistical process control, FMEA and PFMEA, 8D analysis, root cause and corrective action just to name a few. Experience in a machine shop environment and with VISUAL manufacturing is a plus.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Implement an effective SPC program in all shop areas.
  • Conduct Gage R&R / MSA studies for all significant gaging and gage types.
  • Improve MRB process for nonconforming materials.
  • Lead Pratt & Whitney & GE Aviation FAI & ECAV for new and returning part numbers.
  • Obtain certification as DQR Release Agent for Pratt & Whitney & GE Aviation products.
  • Provide lead on developing PFMEA’s & Control Plans and establish KPI’s.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.

JOB SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager in our Columbia, CT facility. The HSE Manager will direct, coordinate and develop programs and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and Federal laws that govern health, safety, environmental, and related issues.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and provide subject-specific HSE-related training as required by legislation or Company procedures.
  • Keep current on new HSE developments in the industry and government regulations.
  • Champion a safety culture.
  • Act as the primary liaison within the organization and as the interface to external agencies.
  • Oversee the disposal of hazardous waste and lead the analysis of any new waste streams that may be required.
  • Research, plan, develop, and coordinate safety training for all levels within the Company.
  • Conduct comprehensive EH&S audits and inspections, provide inspectors with appropriate documents, identify safety measures and appropriate actions plans that are in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Present safety recommendations to Senior Management and oversee implantation of those recommendations.
  • Maintain documentation of material, processes, equipment, and events used to measure performance, generate regulatory reports, and analyze trends.
  • Develop measures to monitor EH&S performance and provide leadership in teaming with employees to maintain safety standards.
  • Lead the Company’s Safety Committee in implementing continuous improvements.
  • Investigate incidents, analyze data, identify trends, and develop corrective measures in order to identify risk reduction corrective actions.
  • Provide other HSE generalist responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EHS or related field.
  • Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is preferred.
  • 5 years related experience required; aerospace experience a plus.
  • Experience with OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of environmental compliance.
  • Professionalism in dealing with adverse or difficult situations.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of an organization to influence a safety culture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced procurement specialist to structure, grow, monitor and manage our supply chain. In addition, this position will have responsibility for managing and processing incoming contracts and purchase orders from our customers and ensuring a smooth transition from order intake to purchase order execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Purchase raw materials and hardware.
  • Send out requests for quote and analyze offers for best overall value to the organization.
  • Monitor, update and review the approved supplier list, adding and subtracting suppliers as required and working with Quality, Production Control and Finance on qualifying new suppliers.
  • Establish, monitor and update purchase order terms and conditions as dictated on our contracts and purchase orders.  Work with Quality to ensure the proper flowdown of quality requirements for each customer purchase order.
  • Actively monitor and manage open order delivery dates through phone calls, emails and visits.  Expectations are that all suppliers will be visited in person on a regular basis, so some local and domestic travel is required.
  • Establish, manage, monitor and communicate supplier scorecards.
  • Negotiate payment terms, long term supply agreements and blanket purchase orders.
  • Provide suppliers forecasts as appropriate.
  • Review incoming purchase orders and contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with quoted terms.  Work with customer to correct inaccuracies or negotiate terms as appropriate and as directed by Director of Business Development.
  • Enter new contracts into the ERP system.
  • Manage the internal Contract Review Process to ensure a smooth transition from order intake to part execution.
  • Experience in metal fabrication and in the aviation industry is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Tig Welder who can weld a variety of materials, thicknesses and configurations, and help to enhance the productivity of our organization. The successful candidate will also be required to perform work quality checks.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Weld materials in strict compliance with written procedures to aerospace standards.
  • Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects.
  • Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the strict guidelines of the company.
  • Inspect the work area and machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of each shift.
  • Follow all Company safety protocol.
  • Maintain tooling in good working order and perform required tooling maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery per procedures.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The qualified candidate must demonstrate training ability and be able to support internal customer needs.
