Manufacturing Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who can design and develop manufacturing processes to fabricate parts in a machine shop environment and help to enhance the productivity of our organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop process documentation to manufacture parts to customer supplied drawings and technical data.
  • Apply working knowledge of machining, welding and metal forming to the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain functional authority for controls and process integration within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Develop and utilize standardized design criteria across all product and processes.
  • Evaluate and implement engineering change requests into appropriate documentation and follow change request through all approvals.
  • Provide technical support to shop personnel.
  • Estimate/support new part introduction process which will include estimating costs for new parts.
  • Monitor and improve processes on existing parts and programs.
  • Ensure that all customer, company, and industry standards are adhered to.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Candidate should have a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 5 years of hands on manufacturing process experience in a machine shop environment.  Aerospace industry experience is preferred.  Must possess strong knowledge of blueprints, technical specifications, working in an ISO quality system and must be proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs as well as CAD, preferably Solidworks.
