Master Planner/Scheduler
JOB SUMMARY
The Master Planner/Scheduler creates, forecasts and manages the production schedules for the Manufacturing group. The Master Planner/Scheduler drives all planning activities to optimize workflow and production capacity throughout the shop to achieve on-time delivery to our customers.
LOCATION: Columbia, CT
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Create, forecast, implement, manage and monitor the production schedule to meet capacity and optimize efficiencies.
- Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to ensure materials and resources are aligned with the production schedules.
- Create and maintain department level dash boards.
- Use Visual ERP system to track and improve On Time Starts.
- Prepare and communicate monthly build plans.
- Create and update customer reports/portals as required.
- Ensure key metrics and objectives (cost and delivery) are being met and written plans are in place for improvements.
- Use data to analyze and provide solutions to scheduling problems.
- Maintain data integrity in Visual ERP system.
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering on scheduling issues.
- Drive company initiatives within the Planning organization.
- Ensure that all customer, company, and industry standards are adhered to.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Experience considered in leu of a degree.
- 3+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling. Experience in Aerospace manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and scheduling software, experience with Visual Manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve scheduling and production challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams. Bilingual in Spanish or Polish highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- APICS, CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
