September 2018 – Columbia Manufacturing, Inc., a world-class supplier of fabricated sheet metal and components for turbine engines, continues to bolster the strength of its leadership team with the addition of Mike Peterson as the new Director of Quality.
Mr. Peterson has over 40 years of experience in manufacturing quality in a variety of positions, primarily in the aerospace industry. Early in his career, he worked for Columbia Manufacturing as a Quality Engineer and Inspection Supervisor. Most recently he was the Quality Assurance Manager at Numet Machining where he was responsible for all quality functions and personnel. Prior to Numet, he held various positions with Parker Aerospace, Volvo Aero Connecticut, and Whitcraft, LLC.
Mr. Peterson has extensive credentials in quality and manufacturing. He is a six-sigma black belt, a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), a Certified Mechanical Inspector, an LCS Representative, and a DSQR for multiple customers.
